Starting directly from Buttwil, the flight takes you past Lucerne and Lake Lucerne to Meiringen, where you'll cross the Grimsel Pass into Valais. You'll fly past the Aletsch Glacier, then over Brig to Zermatt – the absolute highlight of this flight! On the way back, you'll visit the Bernese Oberland, flying over Adelboden, Thun, and the Emmental region back to Buttwil, where your Matterhorn Airplane Flight concludes.

Closer to the Matterhorn than ever before.
The sightseeing flight to the Matterhorn takes off from Buttwil airfield. On the way to the highlight of this flight, you will fly over Central Switzerland and the most beautiful glaciers in Valais and the Bernese Oberland. Depending on the weather, the route can be adjusted slightly.
Parking is available on site and the nearest bus stop is in the village of Buttwil.

In December 2025, I booked a Matterhorn sightseeing flight from Buttwil for January 2026. Unfortunately, due to the weather, the flight had to be rescheduled twice. But even at this stage, the team had us completely won over: The rescheduling process was completely hassle-free, always very friendly, and the communication was truly top-notch. We felt well taken care of at all times.
Today was finally the day—and the wait was more than worth it. This flight was simply unforgettable! The view of the Alps, the majestic Matterhorn, and a little detour to the Bietschhorn, as well as the entire atmosphere in the air, were simply overwhelming. These are moments you’ll never forget—and honestly, you’d rather not land at all.
A very special thank you to our pilot Roy: Thank you so much for this amazing flight, your calm demeanor, and the fascinating explanations along the way. We felt safe and in excellent hands at all times.

We had a wonderful, fantastic sightseeing flight to the Matterhorn. Everything was super organized and the staff were very friendly.
The mountains were all introduced to us by the pilot and we were constantly given information about the flight and the surrounding area.
We would love to come back :-)
