Landing on the glacier

From the Beromünster airfield in central Switzerland, you take off in a special glacier plane towards the Eastern Swiss Alps.

The flight past Lucerne and the Lucerne Pre-Alps is an impressive experience in itself. Your pilot selects the ideal mountain landing site for the glacier landing based on the current conditions. He will take into account the wind, weather, visibility on the glacier and snow conditions. Possible landing sites include the Hüfifirn glacier and the Glärnisch.

On the glacier you can enjoy the panoramic view and the silence, with a small aperitif if you wish. Then it's back to civilization in Beromünster.

Daily from December to May, depending on snow conditions

The glacier landing is highly dependent on the current weather and snow conditions. In good conditions, flights are carried out with 2 people.

In the case of single passengers, the pilot will add a second person.

Important info

Due to the poor snow and weather conditions, fewer passengers than usual were able to be flown. Until the passengers on the waiting list have flown, we are unfortunately unable to accept any additional reservations.

Vouchers can still be given as gifts, but redemption will probably not be possible until the 2026/2027 season. If the weather is very good in the 2025/2026 season, reservations will also be possible in this season.

As a short-term alternative, we recommend the Glacier landing by helicopter.

A unique flying experience in the Clariden-Tödi-Hüfi-Firn glacier world!

Pilot Peter Wild completed a fantastic Alpine flight with the Maule M-6 from Beromünster via Rigi Urnersee Klausen, followed by a perfect glacier landing on Clariden. The Maule is ideal: pilot and passenger sit next to each other, the view to the front and to the side is perfect.
The return flight was also magnificent: past Schärhorn, Windgällen, Spannort to Titlis and via Engelberg Bürgenstock Lucerne back to Beromünster.
