The Lake Walen Scenic Flight is one of the highlights of our offerings. This impressive flight takes off from Altenrhein Airport. Shortly after takeoff, you’ll fly over the city of St. Gallen and then Appenzell. Passing by the Säntis, you’ll cross the Toggenburg region toward Schänis. The Lake Walen Scenic Flight offers breathtaking views and stunning landscapes.
With the best views of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten, the flight finally heads over Sargans along the Rhine Valley back toward Lake Constance, where your sightseeing flight ends.

The sightseeing flight over Lake Walen starts at the St. Gallen Altenrhein Airport. Click on the map for more information about the route and the sights along the way. The flight path may be slightly adjusted depending on the weather.
You can easily reach the airfield by car; free parking is available. If you’re traveling by bus, you can get off at the “Altenrhein Flugplatz” stop (about a 10-minute walk).
