The introductory flight itself will take the form of a training flight, during which you’ll find yourself in the “pilot’s seat” in no time and, with an experienced flight instructor in the co-pilot’s seat, perform your very first takeoff on your own. Even while in flight, you’ll be the one primarily flying and controlling the aircraft. After this high-flying experience, you’ll feel solid ground beneath your feet again once you’ve mastered the approach and landing together with your flight instructor. With the “Pilot for a Day” program, you’re welcome to choose a specific area of interest among the theoretical topics, and your flight instructor will then cover that part in greater depth. The theoretical topics include: technical aircraft knowledge, aviation law, meteorology, flight performance, operating procedures, aerodynamics, radio communications, flight planning, human performance, navigation, and radio navigation.
