The Zurich introductory Airplane Flight takes place at Buttwil airfield. It's easy to get to and offers the perfect conditions for your very own flight experience, where you get to fly a plane yourself.

After being welcomed to your Zurich introductory Airplane Flight, your flight instructor will give you all the important information you need for the flight during a briefing. Even if you've never been at the controls of an airplane before, that's totally fine – no prior experience is needed at all.

As in a large airliner, the take-off preparations are carried out according to a fixed pattern with the checklist. As soon as all the systems have been checked, you'll start your trial flight and take to the skies. I gave my partner a trial flight in a Cessna 172 for his birthday. The flight, originally scheduled for March, had to be rescheduled due to bad weather, but that went off without a hitch. In July, the day finally arrived. Our pilot took great care of us and explained everything clearly. We felt comfortable and safe the whole time. It was an amazing experience that was incredibly fun. :)

An unforgettable experience: What was particularly impressive was that we were allowed to fly the plane ourselves during the flight. We were able to make a few turns over Lucerne and Lake Lucerne and enjoy the magnificent view. René was a very friendly pilot whose enthusiasm for aviation was immediately apparent. The flight left a lasting impression on me.
