The Säntis is the highest and most impressive mountain in Eastern Switzerland, and it's the landmark of this beautiful Swiss region. Now you have the chance to see the Appenzell landscape, including the Säntis, from a bird's-eye view on a helicopter flight. The helicopter flight takes off from St. Gallen Altenrhein or Sitterdorf airfield and flies you towards Appenzell with Lake Constance behind you. Soon, the characteristic hills of the landscape grow larger until the Alpstein mountain range appears before you. You'll enjoy the beautiful rock formations near Appenzell, where the terrain steadily rises towards the Säntis. From here, you'll get an amazing view of the Säntis peak, a sight only a few people get to experience. On a clear day, you can even see into four different countries from here. After these incredible sights, your helicopter tour will take you back over Appenzell and the Rhine Valley to St. Gallen Altenrhein or Sitterdorf, where you can once again enjoy the panoramic view over Lake Constance. Daily in good weather

The classic sightseeing flight over the Alpstein region to Säntis takes place daily on request in good weather with up to 3 or 4 passengers from Altenrhein or Sitterdorf.

You can register yourself directly or purchase the flight as a gift voucher . For a very special helicopter flight around Säntis, there is also the option of a private flight with an individual flight time, without other passengers in the helicopter.

Location helicopter flight Säntis


The Säntis helicopter tour departs from St. Gallen Altenrhein Airport or Sitterdorf Airport near Bischofszell. You will fly over Appenzell to Säntis and back again. The actual route may differ slightly from the line marked on the map.

Free parking is available directly in front of the meeting point, and the bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away.
