Alternatively, the Walensee and Churfirsten region can also be visited on a sightseeing flight from the Chur region.

The St. Gallen Altenrhein and Sitterdorf airports on Lake Constance are ideal starting points for a beautiful sightseeing flight. After an impressive flight over the Alpstein region, the flight continues to Lake Walen with its Churfirsten mountains. Depending on the weather, the route may vary slightly.

The Walensee helicopter tour departs from St. Gallen Altenrhein or Sitterdorf. From there, you will fly around the Churfirsten and Säntis mountains along the Rhine Valley to the Hoher Kasten with views of the Appenzell region. The flight route may vary slightly.

A truly amazing and unforgettable experience.
The flight over the Alpstein, the Säntis, and Lake Walen was breathtaking. The view from the air is one-of-a-kind and actually exceeded our expectations.
A big thank you to our pilot, Simon. His easygoing and friendly manner made us feel at ease right from the start. We were especially delighted that he also flew the helicopter over the Rhine Valley and circled a few times over our homes in Rüthi and Buchs. Seeing our own homes from this perspective was something truly special and will surely remain in our memories for a long time.
Another great surprise was that after the flight, Simon took a group photo of us and printed it out right there on the spot. The videos he sent later are also a lovely memento of this special day.

I was able to enjoy a one-hour sightseeing flight from Altenrhein on Sunday 16.10.16. Through the Rhine Valley, past the Hoher Kasten, over the Churfirsten over the Walensee, into the Glarnerland, past the Martinsloch and on the way back very close to the Säntis. Many thanks to our pilot Yves !!!

The fog on Sunday morning almost prevented us from taking off. BUT luckily only almost! The visibility above the fog was fantastic. It was a wonderful experience!!! Thank you!
