After several postponements due to the weather, we were able to enjoy a wonderful hot-air balloon ride with Holly Ballon.
The morning flight took off near Kernenried. The balloon floated into the rolling hills of the Emmental in the soft morning light.
Just watching the balloon being prepared for takeoff, the skilled landing by the experienced pilot, and the folding and loading of the enormous balloon is an experience in itself.

My two companions and I really enjoyed the hot air balloon ride. We helped with the setup and takedown. The setup (which was pretty laid-back) was really exciting—it was amazing to see such a huge balloon up close. Taking it down wasn’t as much fun. Unfortunately, the launch site was moved the day before from Lucerne/Allemend to Schenkon. The view and the weather were great, and so was the pilot. I’ll definitely book another balloon ride.
