Matterhorn glacier landing by plane
Airplane glacier landings on the most spectacular landing spots in the heart of the Swiss Alps are an unforgettable experience far away from any civilization. A glacier landing by airplane – a touch of Alaska in the Swiss Alps. Our meeting point for the airplane glacier landing is Beromünster Airport in Central Switzerland. After a warm welcome, your pilot will tell you everything you need to know about glacier landings and how to behave on the glacier. Soon after takeoff, you can enjoy fantastic views of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.

Following the Finsteraarhorn and the mighty ice flow of the Aletsch Glacier, you fly over the Valais in the direction of the Matterhorn. The unmistakable summit of the Matterhorn is visible from afar. As the pilot steers the plane past the Matterhorn, you can even make out mountaineers climbing up the Hörnligrat towards the summit. After these impressions, you set course for the Petersgrat. The pilot inspects the landing site in a wide turn and then gently touches the plane down on the glacier.

I liked it very much. Competent and friendly pilot! The only downside: getting in and out! With kind regards: Bruno Christ

The scenic flight with glacier landing was completely satisfactory for my wife. The flight planning was a bit more challenging. Even though the weather conditions were much better the day before, the flight couldn't take place that day due to a lack of participants. On the day of the flight, visibility was a bit limited, so we couldn't fly all the way to the Matterhorn. The alternative route suggested by the pilot turned into an impressive flight experience. Thank you very much!

Matterhorn glacier landing on 7.4.2018
Very nice flight with a super pilot. Everything was right except for the information about the surroundings. Would be great if you could get some more information about the prominent mountains you see to help you find your way around this wonderful mountain world.

Hello
We had a great flight over the Bernese Alps and up to the Matterhorn. With a stopover on the Kanderfirst glacier.
Beautiful weather with a soft landing on the glacier and in Reichenbach.
A great experience to recommend.
Many thanks!
Kind regards, Martin Neiger
